College of Agriculture at the University of Anbar discussed this morning, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Idham Ali Abd, Dean of the College of Agriculture, doctoral thesis entitled (Effect of Planting Distance and Spraying With Salicylic acid and Melatonin in Some Growth Traits and the active substance in the Fennel Plant Foeniculum vulgare Mill)
Student doctoral Mustafa Abid Salah Department of Field Crops, and the committee consisted of:
Prof .Dr. Maher Hamid Salman / Al-Qasim Al-Hadra University - College of Agriculture / President
Prof .Dr. Razak Lafta Attia / University of Karbala - College of Agriculture / member

The study aimed at developing the cultivation of medicinal plants in Anbar Governorate, increasing the cultivated area and the effect of plant density stress on the concentration of the active substance in the Fennel plant, and finding the best concentrations of salicylic acid and melatonin to resist this stress and give the best yield of the plant with good quality. The researcher recommended the necessity of planting sweet bean plants with a planting distance of 50 cm between the plants, which gave the best results under the influence of salicylic acid and melatonin. After extensive discussion by the committee members, the thesis was accepted after making the corrections recommended by the discussion committee... congratulation to the student and the supervisor....
