
College of Agriculture discusses a PhD thesis on genetic parameters in maize

College of Agriculture at the University of Anbar discussed this morning, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Idham Ali Abd, Dean of the College of Agriculture, doctoral thesis tagged Genetic Parameters Using Half diallel cross and Stay Green Under Salicylic Levels in Maize.

The study aimed to derive dual-purpose hybrids by introducing a group of yellow maize strains into the midterm cross-crossing.
The researcher recommended the need to adopt superior hybrids, which were characterized by a high yield and number of green leaves.
After extensive discussion by the committee members, the thesis was accepted after making the corrections recommended by the discussion committee... congratulation to the student and the supervisor.... Blessing for discussion committee, student and the supervisor.
