A high-quality academic achievement
In a distinguished academic achievement that adds to the remarkable record of accomplishments of the Anbar Journal of Agricultural Sciences, the journal has advanced to the first quartile (Q1) among Scopus-indexed journals.
On this occasion, the President of the University of Anbar, Full Professor Mushtak Talib Salih Al-Neda, extended his congratulations, both personally and on behalf of the University Council, to the College of Agriculture – University of Anbar, including its Dean, Council members, staff, and the Editorial Board of the Anbar Journal of Agricultural Sciences, represented by its Editor-in-Chief, Managing Editor, and board members. He commended the journal’s significant advancement and its inclusion within the first quartile (Q1) of the global Scopus database, according to the SCImago ranking system, which is based on Scopus data and is expected to be updated very soon.
The Dean of the College of Agriculture, Professor Idham Ali Abed, also congratulated the journal’s staff, represented by the Editor-in-Chief, Professor Dhafer Thabit Mohammed, the Managing Editor, Professor Salwan Mahmoud Abdul Latif, and the other members of the journal. He expressed his best wishes for their continued excellence and creativity in serving their university and college.
The Dean emphasized that this achievement was not attained by chance; rather, it is the result of the substantial support, close follow-up, and strategic scientific planning provided by the University President to advance all scientific journals affiliated with the university. He further highlighted the College’s and the Editorial Board’s aspiration to have the journal indexed in the Clarivate database in the near future, God willing, while appreciating the successful implementation of the scientific strategic plan for managing academic journals at both the university and college levels, which has yielded outstanding results and advanced academic achievements.
The University President also stated that the University remains committed to its plans aimed at improving the rankings of its journals indexed in international databases and at including its remaining journals in reputable global indexing services through well-structured and carefully planned scientific steps. Such efforts, he noted, will further strengthen the University’s academic standing and research presence at both national and international levels.
The University President concluded his speach of congratulations by affirming that this success represents an important addition to the academic and scientific journey of the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the University of Anbar. He wished the journal and its staff continued progress, excellence, and distinction.
